The Bucharest District 4 City Hall included ample rehabilitation and maintenance works related to green spaces in its program for 2007. Thus, the Communal Management - the Department of Public Areas Administration will fulfill this year several objectives, among which the rehabilitation of 120 playgrounds,the redesigning of 12 new ones and the rehabilitation of degraded land in respect of land quotas. The project includes the planting of 3000 trees, 1 million flowers, 18.000 meters of hedge and 160.000 square meters of grass. Also, 30.000 square meters of ornamental metallic fence will be put up in order to protect the green spaces. From the first week of the current year, deforestations were performed and many green spaces have been cleaned.
