Banca Comercială Carpatica (BCC) launched the "Rădăcini" ("Roots") loan, intended for financing the purchasing of agricultural land, as well as for the rehabilitation of land for agricultural purposes, the BCC announced yesterday in a press release.
The "Rădăcini" loan can be offered to farmers, operating as legal entities and to those using companies, as well as to which have a legal status similar to that of companies, whom are set up according to the law, and operate legally in compliance with their articles of incorporation. Applicants for the loan must be registered with the Agricultural Registry and not be insolvent.
The loan will be repaid in installments, according to a repayment schedule structured according to the company"s needs. The following options are available: equal or decreasing installments, irregular schedule (unequal installments), repayment of the principal and of the interest rate on different dates, as well as monthly or quarterly repayments.
According to the press release, a major benefit of this product is the grace period of a maximum of 2 years, for the repayment of the principal, and of a maximum of six months for the interest payments. Also, the lending period will be extended to a maximum of 10 years.
Through the "Rădăcini" loan, the bank will also have the ability to finance start-ups, allowing them to buy land with a surface at least equal to that of the land they own.
