Dacia Renault posted pozitive results for last year, marking a nearly two-fold increase from the previous year, 2006 being the second consecutive profitable year, after five years in the red. Dacia posted a Y2006 turnover of 1.54 billion EUR, up by 29% from the 1.19 billion EUR posted in 2005 and a net profit (after taxes) of 100.6 million EUR, equal to 6.5% of the turnover.
The EBITDA stood at 107.2 million EUR, equal to 6.9% of the turnover. As for production, Dacia posted a record-high 188,410 units, of which 177,230 Logan units. Sales stood at 187,215 units in 2006, up by 9.3% year-on-year (107,777 units in Romania and 79,438 exported).
The CKD Logan Export Center, managed by Renault Industrie Roumanie generated 335 million EUR in turnover, thus boosting the consolidated Dacia - CKD turnover to 1.88 billion EUR, of which 45.7% was generated by exports.
