Ioan Silvaş, Head of Electricity Sales at "Electrica" SA, recently said, in an interview for "Bursa" that the energy market was strongly affected by the crisis, as electricity consumption saw a major drop and demand for energy became unpredictable. He said: "The drop in consumption affected the bottom lines of all the players on the market. The largest drop in demand came from major consumers, in other words from the open energy market. Electrica saw its energy sales drop 12% Y/Y".
"Electrica""s major customers reduced their consumption by 28%, household demand increased slightly, whereas demand from institutional consumers and small and medium corporate users saw a slight drop (0.78%).
