Contracts regarding the sale of electricity to SC Electrica SA will be extended by negotiation, whereas new contracts will be signed for the timeframe stipulated in the winter program endorsed by Government Decision no. 1035/2006 with due date on March 31st, 2007, according to the Ministry of Economy and Trade. The respective amounts of energy will be used exclusively for powering Romanian consumers. Contracts will be regulated by the National Energy Regulatory Authority (ANRE). This is a temporary measure intended to ensure stability on the Romanian electricity market during the peak consumption season.
