An international airport, intended for public transportation of persons and commodities,
will be built in Ghimbav, Brasov County, on a total surface of 140 hectars. The works and services related to design, building and operation of the airport will be concessioned for a 20-year period. According to the auction announcement, the works will include tbe building of pipes, communications and supply lines for highways, roads, airports, runways, maneuvering areas and railroads. The contract will be awarded by negotiation with the previous publishing of a participant announcement. The deadline for applications is February 15, at 04:00 pm and they will be examined on February 16. Sources from the Brasov County Council said that the project will be financed by the investor. The estimated value of the investment is around 100 million euro, and the execution period will be approximately 30 months, according to the quoted sources. The bidders must be up-to-date with state and local taxes. They must prove they have an average asset solvency higher than 30% for the past three years and a general liquidity of over 100%. All the bidders who meet the qualifying conditions will be present for the negotiations, the minimum number of pre-selected persons being three. The criteria for awarding the contract is the best offer from an economical point of view.
