Zhengzhou Top Rolling Technology Co., registered in China, has signed a 410 million USD contract with Intfor, a steel pipe producer based in Galaţi, Romania, New China Agency reported. The contract stipulates the delivery of complete equipment for a new production facility in the amount of 400 million USD and the modernization of an existing production facility in the amount of 10 million USD.
The contract awarded to the Chinese company is part of an older partnership as Intfor bought an 8 million USD production line from Zhengzhou Top Rolling Technology Co. in 2007. According to Zhengzhou Top Rolling Technology Co. CEO Zhao Linzhen, the production line was delivered to Romania in December 2008 and commissioned in May 2009.
Established in 1995, Zhengzhou Top Rolling Technology Co. is a producer of metallurgical equipment having over 21 patents in 62 countries and territories across the world. Intfor - Galaţi has projected a year 2009 net profit of 9.4 million RON and revenues of 215.71 million RON according to the annual budget approved by the General Meeting of Shareholders.
