The Distrct 3 City Hall Management Office announced a very ambitious investment plan for this year. The roadways on 130 arteries will be modernized and another 110 streets will be reinforced. Also, the local administration will asphalt 83 streets.
Expanding and modernizing of the water supply network will be done on 20 streets and works related to the sewage network will be done on 25 secondary arteries. According to data reported by the City Hall, over 110 buildings and 50 new playgrounds will be built. The local administration of District 3 will continue the project involving the building of youth housing in the Aleea Cioplea area and the construction of 12 new kindergarden units, which will be built within the perimeter of existing kindergardens and high scools.
A project will be developped this year regarding the modernization and maintainance of market places. The locations approved in this project are Unitatii-Aurel Botea, Nicolae Pascu-Calea Vitan, Bobocica and Rotunda.
In 2007, works will begin in order to build 3 superposed parking lots with a total capacity of 1.600 spaces, namely the Mihai Bravu-Calea Vitan parking lot (300 spaces) and the ones in Sf. Vineri-Mircea Voda Blvd (1.000 spaces) and Calea Calarasi-Decebal Blvd (300 spaces). Among the investments there is the maintenance of the "Voinicelul" sports park and that of another 40 gymnasiums for public schools.
