The best ski jumpers in the world will compete in Râşnov at the Summer World Cup - Ski Jumping Grand Prix. The competition will bring to the start 82 elite athletes from 15 countries such as China, France, Italy, Japan, Norway, Poland, Slovenia, Ukraine, the United States, Austria, Finland, Kazakhstan, Switzerland, Turkey and Romania. Our country will be represented in the women's category by Dana Haralambie and Alessia Mîţu, and in the men's category by Daniel Cacina and Mihnea Spulber. According to the organizers: "This weekend, Romania becomes the international capital of ski jumping. The best athletes from 15 countries gather on Trampoline in Valea Carbunării to compete in the Summer World Cup - Ski Jumping Grand Prix. The event, which will take place at the Olympic Winter Sports Complex in Râşnov between September 20 and 22, is a very important stage for athletes who They want to collect points for qualifying for the Winter Olympics". The Râşnov competition is the first in the series of Grand Prix this fall, which will continue in Austria and Germany. Puiu Gaspar, the general secretary of the Romanian Ski Biathlon Federation, said: "We are proud to host the Ski Jumping Grand Prix in Râşnov again. This competition is not only an opportunity to promote this wonderful sport, but also to show the world that Romania is capable of organizing world-class events. The effort we made with our partners to bring together the best jumpers of the moment, in a setting of impressive natural beauty, is an achievement that we can all be happy. Moreover, for our athletes, this Grand Prix is a chance to compete at home, in front of an audience that supports them wholeheartedly. Dana Haralambie, Mihnea Spulber and Alessia Mîţu they are young people with huge potential, who have trained intensively, and their participation in this Grand Prix is a very good opportunity to prove their worth. We hope that through this competition we can inspire new generations of athletes and show that Romania can become an important international winter sports pole. The Râşnov Grand Prix includes four individual stages, two for women and two for men's, which will take place on September 21 and 22. This World Cup stage is organized by the Romanian Biathlon Federation in partnership with the Râşnov City Hall and with the support of the Romanian Olympic and Sports Committee, the National Sports Agency and the Braşov County Council Entrance is free.
