State-owned natural gas company Romgaz SA is having advanced talks with several foreign companies in order to start projects abroad. The first potential investments are intended to be made in Poland and Slovakia starting this year.
"Two projects have been outlined and we have a partner we work with also in Romania. We are in a very advanced stage, close to signing partnerships in the two countries. For starters, our overseas operations will focus on exploitation," said Romgaz sources quoted by NewsIn.
According to the Y2008 budget of Romgaz, the net profit is estimated at 644.12 million RON (some 175 million EUR). Expenses should be 3.16 billion RON, from a turnover of 3.92 billion RON. The gross profit has been projected at nearly 759 million RON.
