National airline operator TAROM will invest this year 137 million EUR in its fleet expansion program, namely the acquisition of new Airbus A-318 aircrafts, as well as in equipment and agencies expansion, according to the company"s income and expense budget for the current year.
For 2007, TAROM expects total revenues of 310 million EUR. The company has to pay 114,5 million EUR for each Airbus A 318 aircraft. Two aircrafts were already delivered and two more are expected to arrive in November - December 2007.
TAROM plans to carry 1,5 million passengers in 2007 and 1,8 million passengers in 2008, aiming at an operational profit of 11 million USD in 2007 and 9 million USD in 2008. Besides the four Airbus A 318, TAROM"s fleet currently consists of 16 aircrafts: five Boeing 737 - 300, four Boeing 737 - 700 and seven ATR 42 - 500 aircrafts.
