Romania"s Constitutional Court (CCR) yesterday rejected claims by Social Democrat Party that the second round of the presidential elections which was held on December 6th, was rigged, sources claim.
The verdict of the court comes on the day when the Central Electoral Office (BEC) completed the recount of the invalid votes and sent the results to the Court.
Out of the total 138,067 votes which were invalidated during the election, the members of the Central Electoral Office revalidated 2,247 votes, of which 1,260 for Traian Băsescu, and 987 to Mircea Geoană.
