Volksbank Romania has relaunched its banking operations products. The bank has simplified its offer, which will now only include three types of current accounts, as opposed to the six types of current accounts included in the previous offer, according to a press release issued by the bank.
The Basic Offer (the Salary account) includes a salary account denominated in lei and a card account, which are both offered free of charge, whereas clients who frequently use banking services will also have Mobile Banking, SMS notifications and Direct Debit (Gold Account) available.
The new Current Account Offer for individuals also includes the Simple Account and the Gold account.
The Simple Account includes the functionalities of the Salary Account, while also offering the option of using a multi-currency card (which has a current account in lei and an account in Euros attached), the Internet Banking and Direct Debit services.
The Gold account, which will be launched in the coming period, will include the facilities of the Simple account, as well as Mobile Banking, SMS Notification, travel insurance, and a higher interest rate.
The salary account includes a current account in lei and a Visa Electron Debit Card, with no fees for the following operations: account opening, monthly account maintenance fee, withdrawal from Volksbank ATMs and card issuance and management.
The Simple Account includes a current account in lei, a current account in Euros, the multi-currency Visa Classic debit card (lei+Euros), Internet Banking and Direct Debit.
The following fees for the account are zero: account opening, withdrawal from Volksbank ATMs. The monthly account management fee is 3 lei.
Volksbank Romania is a commercial bank which has been operating on the Romanian market since May 2000. The main shareholder of the bank is Volksbank International AG, which has Österreichische Volksbanken-AG as a majority shareholder.
