The General IT&C Inspectorate (IGCTI) late last week issued a 3G license to Telemobil - Zapp upon the latter"s payment of 10.5 million USD, this being the first tranche towards the full payment of the license cost. Also last week, IGCTI issued the other tendered license to RCS&RDS. "The two companies promised to ensure much wider coverage than the tender book specifications by end-2011, according to IGCTI President Catalin Marinescu. The tender book stipulates that, by 2012, the two companies must cover at least Bucharest and ten county seats of their choice.
