AAA Auto, the largest used car dealer in Central Europe, sold some 2,700 units in Romania last year and more than 80,000 units in total, by far more than initial projections. Sales on the Hungarian market spearheaded the company"s operations, placing first among the company"s business centers. AAA Auto Hungary operates six auto centers and a dedicated acquisition center.
"We passed the 80,000 unit threshold a few days before the end of last year. This means that we sold nearly 220 cars per center per day. Every three business minutes, a car in our portfolio found a buyer," said VP Matyas Korinek. The company"s overall sales increased from 44,240 units in 2004 to 50,800 in 2005, 61,939 units in 2006 and over 80,000 units in 2007. The company started operations in Romania in June 2005 and has sold over 5,000 cars since. Last year"s turnover has been estimated at 30 million EUR globally, up by over 20% from 2006.
