EnglishFollowing the State Assets Recovery Authority (AVAS) announcement to sell their stock in Electroputere - Craiova, five bidders submitted bids by the specified deadline: A5 Invest SRL (Romania), Grup Feroviar Roman (Romania), Vienna International Holding (Romania), Al Arrab Contracting Company Ltd (Saudi Arabia), Peeker Atomic Energy System Inc. (USA).
AVAS holds 78,009,632 shares equal to 62.82% in Electroputere. This is the sixth attempt to privatize Electroputere. The company was established on September 1st, 1949 as a manufacturer of railway and energy equipment manufacturer. At the moment, the company focuses on manufacturing electric engines, generators and power converters.
