Mechel has commissioned a 1 mln EUR environment care installation at Mechel - Campia Turzii SA and decommissioned an old decantation pond. The company entirely fulfilled the environment-oriented investments undertaken in the privatization contract and added the aforementioned installation as a supplement. The new installation, provided by the Austrian-based Andritz AG, replaces the old decantation pond and provides a cleaner waste disposal solution, including the utilization of wastes as a raw material.
