Shareholders in Ropharma SA - Brasov, Farmaceutica Aesculap - Targu Mures, Medica - Bacau and Global Pharmaceuticals - Brasov convened on January 17th and decided in principle that all companies merge into Ropharma SA. The shareholders also empowered the executive management of the companies to perform due diligence and preliminary evaluation activities. The merger will bear effect upon the shareholders as of February 5th, 2008. Of the four companies, Ropharma and Farmaceutica Aesculap are traded on RASDAQ.
