• The contestation of the compatibility of Grzegorz Konieczny as member of the Board of Directors of the BSE, was admitted by the Commission
According to reliable sources, the CNVM yesterday admitted the contestation submitted by a shareholder concerning the compatibility of Grzegorz Konieczny, the executive vice-president of Franklin Templeton, the director of the Proprietatea Fund, with the position of member on the Board of Directors of the Bucharest Stock Exchange.
The regulator did not confirm the news.
Thus, the CNVM could go back on its decision of May, when it validated Konieczny as a member of the Board of Directors of the BSE.
The officials of the Proprietatea Fund declined to comment the situation.
At the end of April, the shareholders of the Bucharest Stock Exchange elected Konieczny as a member of the Board of Directors, but even then, some of the shareholders questioned his compatibility with the position.
Konieczny was appointed as a provisional member of the Board of Directors of the BSE at the end of March, after the resignation of Daniel Ţepeş.
