EnglishElectronics and appliances retailer Altex has invested over 300,000 EUR in upgrading four Megastores: two in Bucharest (Unirea and Carrefour Militari), one in Giurgiu and one in Calarasi. The four stores will be reopened August 17th. Shortly before this project, the company spent 200,000 EUR on upgrading the Media Galaxy store in Mall Vitan, which measures over 2,200 square meters in total.
Altex is planning to invest 20 million EUR in expanding the stores this year and also in opening five new Media Galaxy stores, in Iasi, Cluj and other large cities. The company intends to consolidate market position this year and reach 275 million EUR in turnover. Altex reported a Q1 turnover of over 50 million EUR, up by 13% year-on-year, following changes in the organizational structure.
