Capgemini has started investments in Iasi, according to Deputy Mayor Constantin Neculau: "Representatives of this company have started talks with the management of Tehnopolis Park with regards to building a site within the park. The City Hall has been requested for a speedy issuance of construction permits. Capgemini is planning to develop a business that would generate some 500 new jobs in Iasi," said Neculau.
Capgemini is an international leader in management, IT, technology and outsourcing consultancy. Established in France in 1967, Capgemini currently has over 82,000 employees worldwide. Last year"s turnover was 7.7 billion EUR. The Romanian office was established in 2005 to offer consultancy to banking, oil & gas, telecommunications and public sector customers.
