The Minister of Labor and Social Solidarity, Simona Bucura-Oprescu, participated in the inauguration of the works for the Dual System Professional Pre-University Campus in Vultureşti, Argeş county. This project, implemented by the non-governmental organization BookLand, aims to train young people in trades that meet the real needs of the labor market and the local economy.
• An innovative initiative for professional training
The campus represents a model of good practices for Romania in terms of professional and technical education, being aligned with the current requirements of employers. Minister Simona Bucura-Oprescu emphasized in her speech the importance of this project, not only for Argeş county, but also for the whole country: "In Vultureşti we will have a model of good practices for professional training in direct correlation with the technologies and organizational culture of employers" . The minister also pointed out that this campus is not only an educational project, but also one that promotes national identity and traditional trades, thus contributing to the development of the local community.
• Collaboration between the authorities and the private sector
A key aspect of the success of this project is the collaboration between the private sector, public authorities and civil society. The minister emphasized the importance of the involvement of all these actors, noting that this partnership will ensure the training of well-prepared young people for the labor market: "It is extraordinary that the private sector, non-governmental organizations, local, county and central public authorities put their shoulders together, so that children can he comes with love to school where he has the chance to learn good trades".
• A modern campus with complex facilities
The campus in Vultureşti will cover an area of 80,000 square meters and will offer all the necessary facilities for the more than 300 students who will study here. Campus facilities include modern laboratories, workshops, a library, amphitheatre, performance hall, sports fields, relaxation areas, as well as various practical facilities such as a bakery, a mini-farm and a vegetable garden. Moreover, the campus will offer all education cycles - from primary to post-secondary level - and the curriculum will be adapted to local economic needs, providing young people with certifications recognized by economic agents in Argeş County.
The launch of this campus represents a significant step in preparing young people for the future, offering them not only theoretical knowledge, but also practical skills needed on the labor market. This integrated educational model, developed in collaboration with the private sector and the authorities, could serve as an example for other regions of Romania, supporting the development of a generation of specialists capable of contributing to the local and national economy.
