Head of Iaşi local council Simirad warns contractors that do low quality work that they will not be paid

The Chairman of the Iaşi County Council, Constantin Simirad, met with officials of construction contractors which won the auctions for the repair of some of the roads of the county of Iaşi. The discussions were attended by officials of SC Antrepriza de Lucrări Drumuri şi Poduri (ALDP) SA Iaşi, SC Eky Sam SRL Târgu Frumos, SC Ted Construct SRL Iaşi, SC Compania Quantum SRL Iaşi, SC Euroconstruct Group SRL Iaşi and SC Moldotrans SA Iaşi. "I have warned them on the quality of some of the works and in particular on the works delivered this year. I want quality execution, I want exceptional work, because I"ll be taking delivery myself. If the works are not correctly done and do not meet the guidelines, we will not pay for them. The contractors have acknowledged this. They"ve told me their troubles and at the same time, they have committed to work within our guidelines", Constantin Simirad said.

The head of the county administration has called this meeting following his discontent with the quality of some of the works for the rehabilitation of some of the roads in the county of Iaşi.

In turn, contractors have discussed some of the problems they are facing. "Their issues are related to water infiltrations and slope movements. This leads to low quality in the execution of the works. Should any issues arise, the works will be definitely redone. But I don"t expect any such issues in Ia i. Some of the roads have lots of hard equipment. There are many trucks carrying lumber for instance. From this point of view, we will strengthen the surveillance of the roads in question", Simirad said.
