EnglishIntracom Telecom, part of SITRONICS Telecommunication Solutions has received a 2.25 million USD contract to implement, commission and supply in-house designed and built equipment for the company"s Next Generation Access Network. Established in 1993, JSC Moldtelecom is the first telecom company in the Republic of Moldova and manages the country"s landline telephony network of 1 million subscribers. In addition, Moldtelecom also offers mobile telephony (CDMA) and broadband Internet service. Moldtelecom is currently seeking to expand the existing network and has selected the IBAS Multi-Service Access Node platform, designed to sustain simultaneous provision of broadband (internet access, TV service, gaming) and narrowband (voice, leased line) services. The contract is directly related to long-term cooperation between Intracom Telecom and Moldtelecom.
