This year"s Celebrations of Iasi will officially begin on the 6th of October. Visitors and town"s citizens coming to see St. Parashiva"s relics on the 14th of October, will also be invited to take part in games and contests, cultural or sporting events, open air shows, fairs, etc., the announced events being scheduled to end on the 28th of October.
This year, the Celebrations of Iasi begin on Saturday, the 6th of October, with a parade of the Song and Dance Ensembles which will be competing in the "Trandafir de la Moldova" Traditional Music Festival, organized by the Iasi County Council and the city of Iasi. The festival has reached its 39th edition and will bring together 15 amateur artistic ensembles from Romania and The Republic of Moldova. Also, the town hall will organize an ancient costumes parade which will take place on the Copou - The Palace of Culture route. Also on Saturday, the Wine Celebrations will begin on the Central Hall esplanade. The same day, The Unirii Museum and The Memorial "Mihail Kogalniceanu" Museum will organize "The Autumn Symphonies" on Lapusneanu Street, and the Iasi National Theatre will be presenting at the "Pod-Pogor the son" art galleries the play "Chirita and everybody else".
The following days will be also full of interesting events, other than the ones already mentioned.
The Celebrations will end on the 28th of October, and will cost 750,000 lei, money which will be raised from renting commercial spaces to interested business men.
