Nine months through the year, UniCredit Leasing reported to have signed over 30,000 leasing contracts for assets worth 350 million EUR, thus marking a 31% growth compared to the corresponding period of 2006, CEO Septimiu Postelnicu told NewsIn.
"UniCredit is planning to finance assets worth 520 million EUR by the end of the year, which is about 40,000 contracts. The target for next year is 800 million EUR," he said. Car leasing accounted for 60% of the company"s portfolio at the end of the year, whereas equipment and truck leasing came in second with 30%.
The company also offers fleet management services, which is a package of car financing, mandatory insurance, full insurance and service. "So far we have rented some 250 vehicles and we are aiming for 600 vehicles by the year-end. That would be about 12-15 fleets of an average size," Postelnicu added.
