AIG Life Asigurari Romania has reported a gross profit of nearly 24 million RON (9 million USD) for last year. The figure has not been audited and is extracted from a report to the Insurance Supervisory Commission. The results were obtained amid an increase in both sales and customer base. Moreover, the average premium per customer increased amid better distribution and retention policies. The company landed 140 million RON (53 million USD) in premiums last year, up by over 33% in local currency and by nearly 40% in USD. Assets gained 45% to 310.7 million RON (120 million USD). For this year, the company estimates a 40% increase in revenues and is planning to focus on private pensions and new medical insurance policies.
