Greece"s Eurobank Properties REIC will purchase 99.99% of the shares of Romanian joint stock company Eliade Tower SA for 26.25 million EUR, aqccording to an official report to the Athens Stock Exchange, quoted by NewsIn.
The agreement includes the acquisition of an office building in northern Bucharest, located at 18, Mircea Eliade Blvd, 1st district in the Floreasca area. The building consists of a basement, ground floor and ten upper floors, with a total gross letable area of 9,704 square metres. The building underwent refurbishment in 2006 and is fully leased to international and Romanian companies.
The investment will be financed partially through the company"s own funds and partially through future debt financing, making use of the recent amendments to the regulatory framework applicable to Greek REIC.
In the last month the company has successfully concluded three deals in the Balkan area, seizing the opportunity of the current favourable momentum in the real estate markets in the region, according to company representatives.
