EnglishSwedish investment fund Oresa Ventures this month acquired a significant stake in loan broker Gemini Capital Consult. Oresa plans to invest 3 million EUR in the first development phase of the Romanian company, according to an announcement made by the representatives of both companies. The value of the investment might increase, depending on the fund"s long-term strategy.
Gemini Capital Consult plans to invest in its marketing activities, IT network and sales strategy. The company intends to double the number of its sales employees, from 100 to 200, and expects to reach 12 branches by end-2008, according to CEO Anca Bidian.
Gemini Capital Consult intermediates personal and mortgage loans, leasing contracts and loans for SMEs.
Oresa Ventures is a privately held investment company with Swedish roots established in 1996 focusing on private equity investments throughout Central and Eastern Europe. To date, Oresa Ventures has invested over 100 million EUR throughout the region.
