Food can be a great ambassador for a nation, and local dishes have a new chance to be recognized internationally. Romanian agri-food products recognized at both national and European levels will be promoted at the 88th edition of the "Green Week 2024" exhibition (Grune Woche), taking place until January 28 in Berlin, Germany, as announced by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MADR). According to the ministry: "Annually, MADR participates in this exhibition with an information stand on the policies applied in the field of agriculture and rural development, where experts from MADR promote Romanian agri-food products recognized at the national and European levels. The Ministry of Agriculture aims to promote and offer samples for tasting from products registered under European quality schemes or in the registration process, including Topoloveni Plum Jam - PGI, Sibiu Salami - PGI, Ibăneşti Telemea - PDO, Smoked Danube Mullet - PGI, Pleşcoi Sausages - PGI, Sibiu Telemea - PGI, Săveni Cheese - PGI, Tulcea Pike Roe Salad - PGI, Traditional Carp Roe Salad - STG, Dobrogean Pie - PGI, and from the spirits category, Geographical Indication - Pălincă and Ţuică Zetea de Medieşul Aurit, as well as products registered under national quality schemes."
