The financial support for Ukraine has reached the point where a popular saying says that "if it doesn't flow, it falls". Given that, according to the Reuters agency, the director of the budget of the White House, Shalanda Young, warned on Monday, in a letter addressed to the Republican president of the House of Representatives, Mike Johnson, and other leaders of the Congress, that the United States is in a crisis of time and money to help Ukraine fight the war with Russia, and in which Jens Stoltenberg - NATO's secretary general - told German broadcaster ARD that the Western military alliance should be prepared for bad news on the Ukrainian front , the Netherlands (Netherlands) announced that it will support Ukraine in 2024 with an allocation of 2.5 billion euros (nearly 2.7 billion dollars). The announcement was made by Hanke Bruins Slot, the Dutch foreign minister during his recent visit to Kyiv.

According to AP News, Hanke Bruins Slot reportedly told his Ukrainian counterpart Dmytro Kuleba: "Be assured of our support. Ukraine's security is our security."

Bruins Slot said her country opened an F-16 training center in Romania on November 13 and is working with the US, Denmark and other countries to ensure Ukraine can deploy the fighter jets as soon as possible.

We remind you that Jens Stoltenberg, the Secretary General of NATO, warned that in the next period the news on the Ukrainian front for the members of the alliance might not be the best.

Stoltenberg said in the interview given to journalists from ARD: "Wars develop in stages. We must support Ukraine in good times and in bad. We should also be prepared for bad news," without elaborating.

The declarations of the Secretary General of NATO were made in the context in which the allies have not yet decided on the ammunition and financial aid to be offered to Ukraine, given that the armament stocks of the EU member states are almost exhausted, and the armament industry is not meeting the high demands coming from Kiev, while Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree to mobilize 170,000 more troops.

We note that in order to support Ukraine, Israel and to ensure the security of American borders, President Joe Biden asked Congress for almost 106 billion dollars in October. Because Republicans control the House of Representatives by a narrow majority, funding for Ukraine has become politically contentious.

Shalanda Young, the White House budget director, said in a letter published by the US Presidential Administration that cutting off funding and an arms flow to Ukraine would increase the likelihood of Russian victories.

Young said: "I want to be clear: Without action by Congress, by the end of the year we will run out of resources to purchase more weapons and equipment for Ukraine and to provide equipment from the US military stockpile. There is no magic pot of funds available to meet this moment. I ran out of money - and almost out of time."

The US is by far the largest donor of military aid to Ukraine, with a total of $44.2 billion since the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, according to AFP. The latest $100 million in military aid to Ukraine from the United States was announced two weeks ago and includes air defenses, according to the source.
