Atlas Corporation estimates a 40% increase in turnover this year, following a 25% y/y increase in sales in the first few months of the year, according to Senior Partner Nicholas Stamboulis.
Atlas Corp. is the only construction materials manufacturer in Romania to have a proprietary distribution network countrywide, through 10 sites in Braila, Brasov, Cluj Napoca, Constanta, Craiova, Iasi, Pitesti, Ploiesti, Timisoara, Suceava and a showroom in Bucharest.
At the moment, the company has 32% of the extruded polystyrene market and 15% of the washable paint market. The proprietary brand Apla ranks third on the Romanian market for washable paint but... "competition is becoming more and more aggressive. Innovative products will make the difference between competitors," according to R&D Director George Sapounakis.
"The market for construction materials has developed quite fast in the past few years, but the growth pace has stabilized, which indicates that the market has reached a certain degree of maturity," Stamboulis added.
