The Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) Braşov last week inaugurated its office in the town of Rupea. The event was attended by the Mayor of Rupea, Flavius Dumitrescu, by deputy Mihai Donţu, and by the management of the CCI.
Nicolae Ţucunel, the chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Braşov, said that "the Rupea area has a huge potential, especially as the work for the rehabilitation of the former castle will begin soon, now that the project has secured European grants". He said he hoped that by opening this office, the 1,000 companies operating in the region will develop a better relationship with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and with the Trade Registry.
Mayor Flavius Dumitrescu praised the initiative of CCI Braşov to open the office and expressed his hope that "business people in the area would no longer have to waste time with trips to Braşov just to see if their submission are in order". He said that serious efforts have been made to bring various services to this area, with officials of the County Employment Agency (AJOFM) and the Territorial Labor Inspectorate (ITM) being the most open to his point of view. "I hope the County Healthcare Fund will use part of their budget to open an office in this area", Dumitrescu said.
In turn, parliament member deputy Mihai Donţu, elected by the citizens of the Rupea area, said: "This is a major step taken by the Chamber of Trade and Industry Braşov because this will allow them to be closer to the people in the area". Furthermore, Donţu announced that he intends to propose the creation of an office of the Agency for Durable Development of the county of Braşov (ADDJB) in the Rupea area.
The Rupea area has almost 1,000 companies and certified individuals (PFA) which can now use various services of the Braşov Chamber of Commerce without having to travel to Braşov anymore. This includes registration as certified individuals (PFA), individual or family businesses, assistance in the creation of a retail company or the modification of the articles of incorporation of companies already incorporated and registered with the Trade Registry, assistance for obtaining European grants, the dissemination of information concerning business opportunities, for the members of the CCI, intermediation for the acquisition of electronic signatures, the information and registration of retailers for various fairs and exhibitions.
