Dacia - Renault sold over 18,000 Logan units in France last year, reaching a share of nearly 1 percent of the 2,000,553 unit market. Renault sales dropped 10 percent from 2005, according to autoactu.com quoted by NewsIn. Some 18,742 Logan units were registered in France in 2006, up by 92 percent from the 9,758 registered in 2005. France is the most important western market for Dacia, accounting for over 45 percent of the carmaker"s exports to the EU. Despite the 10 percent sales setback, Renault remains the leader of the French market with 23.6 percent of the overall sales. Peugeot (17.8 percent), Citroen (12.9 percent) and Volkswagen (7 percent) are next. In the first 10 months of 2006, Dacia sold 73,685 Logan units abroad, including 10,000 units manufactured in Morocco.
