Next week, Romania will resume its discussions on the development of the Constanţa - Trieste oil pipeline (PEOP), in which Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan are showing increasing interest, the Minister of the Economy Adriean Videanu said yesterday at a seminar. "The PEOP is attracting increasing interest. The Kazakh and Azeri authorities want to sell their resources. Next week we will resume discussion concerning PEOP, because Romania could be a country for the transit and processing of crude. I think Croatia will rethink its participation, and in the end I think Italy will also be very interested in participating in the project". The Minister of the Economy said that while the Nabucco gas pipeline has priority for Romania, our country is still interested in developing other energy projects in the Southern European corridor.
