EnglishNew Kopel Sixt, part of Schlomo Group, has entered the Romanian used car market by offering for sale the vehicles that were previously part of operational leasing contracts or were used by car rental companies. New Kopel Sixt hopes to sell over 300 used cars by the year-end and approximately 750 cars in 2008.
Schlomo Group controls a variety of companies in different industries, including infrastructure companies, shipyards, real estate companies and automotive companies. In Romania, New Kopel Sixt has offices in Bucharest, Iasi, Bacau, Constanta, Timisoara, Cluj Napoca, Sibiu and Brasov.
The operational leasing division of New Kopel Sixt concluded last year with contracts for over 2,000 cars. Nine months through 2007, the company signed contracts for 4,000 cars with an overall contract value of 40 million EUR. Estimates for this year indicate a two-fold increase in turnover.
