Oil products deals on the Romanian Commodities Exchange Floor

Between 26-27 February 2009, over 325000 Euros worth of Euro 5 Diesel oil and Fuel Oil were traded on the Cash Market of the Romanian Commodities Exchange (BRM), on the Oil Products Floor.

Thus, Transport Public Local SA Suceava placed a buy order for Euro 5 Diesel Oil with the Suceava Terminal of the BRM. During the trading session, two sale orders for Euro 5 Diesel Oil were placed by Unicom Holding and Oscar Downstream.

Following the open outcry auction, held on the trading floor, the starting price of 2400 lei/ton dropped to 1914 lei/ton (excises and VAT not included), which means the auction was won by Unicom Holding, and Transport Public Local SA Suceava accepted the offer. The amount of Euro 5 Diesel Oil is to be delivered by March - April 2009.

Compania Naţională a Huilei SA (National Hard Coal company) acquired 20 tons of Light Fuel Oil on the main trading floor of the RCE, at a price of 1900 lei/ton (excises and VAT not included), from Oil Consulting SRL. The negotiated price, which was 100 lei/ton lower than the starting price is firm and may not be revised.

Since the beginning of the year, the main and regional Oil Products floors of the BRM 24 oil products were held, worth 46 million lei, some of the clients including: CFR Călători Regionala Cluj, Regionala Iaşi and Regionala Timişoara, Poşta Română Direcţia Regională Galaţi, Compania Naţională a Huilei, Societatea Naţională a Sării, Electrocentrale Oradea, Electrica Serv Transilvania Nord, Metrorex, Transport Local Oradea, Transport Public Local Suceava.
