Subaru Motors Trading, the Subaru importer to Romania, estimates sales of nearly 500 units this year, up by some 40% from 2006, whereas the dealership network will count 11 facilities, up by 3 than it currently does.
Subaru Motors Trading CEO Stavros Kanonopoulos said the Subaru retail network currently counted 8 dealerships: 2 in Bucharest and 1 in each of Brasov, Cluj, Constanta, Craiova, Ramnicu Valcea and Iasi, with expansion plans including Timisoara, Arad and Oradea this year and further expansion to up to 14 dealerships net year.
The company will inaugurate a 400,000 Subaru showroom in the Theodor Pallady area of Bucharest on Tuesday, thus anticipating the launch of two new models in Romania, Impreza and Justy. For the moment, the Subaru portfolio in Romania includes Tribeca, Legacy, Outback and Forester.
