The Iasi City Hall has allocated 700,000 RON for the design of the thermal insulation works to be performed on 37 apartment buildings in the city. A tender will be held for this purpose on 8 August. According to Mihai Chirica, Technical Director of the Iasi City Hall, a subsequent tender will be held to award the civil works contract. The thermal rehabilitation programme prepared by the City comprises 50 condominia, of which 13 have already consented to the start of the works. The tender for the civil works contract will be announced in the near future.
Other 37 condominia to be entered in the programme are currently in various phases of site survey and design. The buildings in question are located on the streets Arcu, Arges, Carol I, Socola, Ciurchi, Decebal, Egalitatii, Eternitatii, Stefan cel Mare, Sucidava, Tepes Voda, Titu Maiorescu, Vasile Alecsandri and Soseaua Nationala, as well as in the vicinity of the squares Piata Unirii and Piata Voievozilor. The City"s budget for thermal rehabilitation is 3 million RON for the entire year. According to the national programme on this topic, the cost of the insulation works will be shared by the Government (50%), the local administration (30%) and the owners of the insulated buildings (20%).
