The Iaşi City Hal will make acquisitions worth 11 million lei in the near future, as part of the European program Archimedes, which wants to promote and introduce some steps for durable, clean and economical urban transportation, as well as the introduction of a complete package of technological and methodological measures for the energy and transportation fields. The most important auction will be held on February 26th, when the Ia i City Hall will try to purchase a ticketing system, real time information panels, as well as a traffic management system. The budget allocated for these acquisitions is 7,24 million lei, excluding VAT.
On February 20th, the Ia i City Hall is looking to acquire 30 LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) installations, for a maximum of 3.51 million lei. On February 23rd, the bids for the acquisitions of 40 acoustic devices for sightless pedestrians, will be opened. These devices are to be installed at road crossings, and the amount allocated for their purchase is 390000 lei. An auction for the creation of an LPG station will be held, which will cost 390000 lei as well.
Mihai Chirica, technical director of the Ia i City Hall said that the total budget allocated to the Archimedes project is some 4.7 million Euros, of which some 55% are grants from the European Union.
