Mircea Ursache, the vice-president of the Financial Oversight Authority (ASF), disagrees with the opinion of the officials of the BSE and considers that the CEO of the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) is part of the staff of the company.
"In my opinion, the people who get paid by the Exchange, who work there, are part of its staff", Mircea Ursache told us, and he went on to say: "There isn't even a need to demonstrate this. This is a mathematical lemma".
Ludwik Sobolewski, the CEO of the BSE recently reported buying shares in the BSE, even though the staff of the BSE is prohibited from doing so by the Regulations of the company.
Mircea Ursache said that the ASF can not implement sanctions in this case, as there aren't any stipulated in the law or in the regulations.
"Sanctions against Sobolewski are at the discretion of the Board of the Exchange and of the Shareholders", Mircea Ursache further said.
