Adriean Videanu has set up an investment vehicle with Eugen Voicu

• Investment in real estate, the only line of business of NG Return Expert

Mioriţa Videanu, the wife of politician and businessman Adriean Videanu and the fund management company "Certinvest" of Eugen Voicu have created an investment vehicle, "NG Return Expert", with a share capital of about 1.5 million lei, which intends to invest in real estate.

The company was registered with the Trade Registry about one week ago and has not yet made any investments, according to the officials of Certinvest.

"We didn"t go to them, they came to us, looking for a partner that would provide them with expertise on the investment side", said for BURSA, Eugen Voicu, the president of Certinvest.

The fund management company owns about 24% of NG Return Expert, through the Certinvest Leader closed fund, and the rest belongs to the family of the former minister of the economy.

"It is simply a business, we want to do what we know best, that is to make as much money as possible", said Horia Gustă, the general manager of "Certinvest", who added: "Investments will be made in real estate assets, on the domestic market, but we may very well access other markets as well, depending on what opportunities may arise. I think that this is a good time to make investments".

This is not the first time that the Videanu family is interacting with the capital market. Last year, the politician figured as a shareholder of brokerage firm "Equity Invest". The company holds the 14th spot in the most active brokerage firms chart this year, with a market share of 1.75%.

At the end of July, closed investment fund "Certinvest Leader" had about 25 million lei in assets and 114 investors. Over 80% of the assets of the fund were invested in the category labeled "other investments", whereas 14% were placed in bank deposits and 4% in bonds.

Horia Gustă said that the legislation in effect does not allow him to go into detail on what "other investments" really means, since the fund raises equity privately.
