EnglishBanca Transilvania has become the sole shareholder of Medicredit Leasing IFN SA, by acquiring the remaining shares in the company. The partnership between the two companies goes back several years,: in January 2007, BT acquired a 38.89% stake in Medicredit Leasing IFN SA, and in October 2007, the bank increased its stake to 57.39%. Medicredit Leasing IFN SA is a market leader in its field focusing exclusively on the leasing of medical equipment. Over the last few years, the company focused on medium and large size customers in the private healthcare system. In 2009, Medicredit Leasing IFN SA provided over 17.6 million Euros in funding.
As part of the Financial Group BANCA TRANSILVANIA, Medicredit Leasing IFN SA will have the full support of the bank, to help it keep its top position in the market. Three representatives of Banca Transilvania will sit on the Board of Administrators of the will also include 3 representatives of Banca Transilvania.
Medicredit Leasing IFN SA will also undergo a re-branding process in order to adapt it to Banca Transilvania"s brand image.
