The Ministry of the Economy yesterday sent to Brussels the necessary documents for receiving the opinion of the European Commission on the cancellation of the debts of the National Coal Company (CNH), which has 2.7 billion lei in arrears.
Tudor Şerban, secretary of state in the Ministry of the Economy, yesterday said that both the IMF as well as the European Commission are concerned by the subsidies received by state companies, by the way state aids are allocated, as well as by the issue of public company arrears. He mentioned that CNH could be subsidized next year as well, as they were approved by the European Commission, but starting in 2011, the Government will have to come up with a way to solve the situation of the CNH.
