What Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu is doing is a "number of illusionism, not of governance", and the draft law of the Executive should be called the law that increases taxes, said the European deputy Dacian Cioloş, on the official Facebook page.
Dacian Cioloş stated: "What Marcel Ciolacu is doing is a matter of illusionism, not governance. At the end of last year he said, I quote: "In 2023 no tax will be increased". Then, when I complained about the hole in the budget caused by the PSD Minister of Finance, Prime Minister Ciolacu calmly said that there is no hole in the budget. Today he sent to the Parliament the "package of fiscal measures", so called only to hide the true name of the "law that increases taxes". What the head of the PSD is doing is an emergency solution that will keep him alive until next year's elections".
He added that Prime Minister Ciolacu avoids sustainable solutions, such as better collection of VAT and taxes, digitalization of ANAF, investments that would bring more money to the state budget from the same taxes or administrative reform.
