The Ministry of Economy and the consortium led by Cuprim will sign next week the final contract under which the latter will rent the Moldomin and Cuprumin mines and invest approximately 270 million EUR in their development, according to Economy Ministry representative Sorin Gaman.
"The Ministry has concluded negotiations with the consortium led by Cuprom. The contract and appendices will be signed by next week," he said. The consortium will invest some 120 million EUR in Moldomin and some 150 million EUR in Cuprumin. The two mines, located in Abrud and, respectively Moldova Noua, were put up for tender in September 2006. The consortium also includes Energomineral and Ipronef.
