Ford Romania has announced that July"s sales are the highest this year: 2,033 units, up by 94% year-on-year. Overall sales for the first seven months of the year amounted to 10,803 units, up by 62% year-on-year.
Ford Focus is the best selling model with 746 units in July, up three times from 2006. Ford Fiesta comes second with 622 units, up two times year-on-year. The newly launched Ford Mondeo landed sales of 244 units.
Fleet sales accounted for some 26% of the 10,803 units sold in the first seven months of the year. Ford Fiesta, Focus and Transit were at the top of the customers" preferences. Romcar, a leading Ford dealer, aims to sell 17,000 units this year. Romcar represents Ford in Romania since 1992 through 26 dealerships across the country.
