Generali Asigurari concluded 2007 with 382 million RON (114.46 million EUR) in gross subscribed premiums, up by 28% more than in 2006, according to General Manager Tudor Moldovan. "These results confirm the success of the sales force restructuring program and the subsequent improvement of the retention rate for specialized life insurances sales staff and increase in productivity," he said.
Non-life insurance generated gross subscribed premiums of 321 million RON (up by 25% from 2006), whereas life insurance led to 60.8 million RON (up by 49% y/y). The insurer posted a Y2007 net profit of 3.49 million RON. Mandatory liability insurance for vehicles surged 116.5%, whereas full insurance for vehicles grew 24.7%.
