IOHANNIS HAS PASSED THE LAW WHICH ALLOWS THE SPP TO PROVIDE PROTECTION TO THE PRESIDENTS OF POLITICAL PARTIES REPRESENTED IN THE PARLIAMENT Gabriel Oprea can now ask for an official convoy legally

The protesters who took to the street after the Colectiv tragedy were contesting Gabriel Oprea because of the death of policeman Bogdan Gigină, who was leading the path of the minister's official convoy, and of the fire of the "Colectiv" club, two events which occurred in quick succession.

Discontent was already brewing when the young people in question burned alive in the club, and protesters considered that Gabriel Oprea bore the blame for both incidents.

At the time, president Klaus Iohannis summoned the representatives of the street to consultations, in an attempt to make it look like their grievances mattered to him and that he felt for them.

In the same vein, Klaus Iohannis participated in one of the protests, a scene which was broadcasted by every network, and many newspapers and mentioned on the radio. At the time, Klaus Iohannis said: "I have noted your complaints, I will take them into account!"

The outcome of the "Colectiv" incident was the fall of the Ponta government, including Gabriel Oprea.

Now, the president has passed the law that allows the heads of parliamentary political parties, including Gabriel Oprea, to be accompanied by official convoys.

How in touch is president Klaus Iohannis with the protesters' grievances, which he has "taken into account"?

Should we take it to mean that protesters have asked him to legalize the use of official convoys in the case of Gabriel Oprea?

Isn't that in fact a gesture that denotes lack of sensitivity?

In other words, being inconsiderate.
