The Management of Mivan consortium, sustained by Irish developer Moritz Group, will develop a chain of ten large shopping malls in Romania. The company has already acquired the land for seven malls, which will be finalizad by end - 2010. The total value of the investment amounts to 500 million EUR.
All ten malls named "Tiago Mall" will be built in key locations, near urban agglomerations, each providing 25 000 - 30.000 square meters of rentable space. The first seven malls developed by Mivan will be located in Arad, Oradea, Brasov, Targu-Mures, Ploiesti, Bacau and Sibiu. Colliers International was assigned as rental agent for the mall chain.
In addition to the "Tiago Mall" project, Mivan is currently developing other projects in Bucharest, namely the "Liberty Center" shopping center, located in Rahova, and the "New Town Residence" residential complex, which is located in Dristor and consists of 655 de apartaments.
Moritz Group, one of the largest real estate developers and investors in Ireland, has been present in Romania since 2005. The group has aquired several locations in and near Bucharest in order to develop commercial and residential projects.
